State House moves to punish innocent police officers: to discipline VIP security personnel

State house has resolved to involve innocent people in its fight against Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima.

Now that they have run out of ideas on how to bring down SKC, the outgoing Peter Mutharika’s DPP government through its security masters has now resorted to unfairly punish the innocent police officers who were part of the vice president’s security team.

Confirmed reports reaching The Eagles Eye indicates that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police responsible for administration Duncan Mwapasa, Mutharika's private bodyguard and director of State House security, Norman Paulos Chisale and State House Director General Peter Mukhitho met on Sunday at State House where they resolved to take action against these innocent police officers.

The three agreed that the officers, who were redeployed from the VPs office to other duty stations but failed to report due to an injunction restraining them to do so should now been put on disciplinary charge of Absent Without Leave (AWOL).

In July last years, government withdrew the Vice President Saulos Chilima’s security detail with immediate effect, an action which was successfully challenged in the court of law which granted an injunction against the move.

The injunction meant that the officers could not report to the new work place pending judicial proceedings.
